SUPPORT CRASP – THE SCHOOL PTA

The parent and teacher association (CRASP – Cymdeithas Rieni a Staff Plasmawr) aims to support the school community by providing opportunities and resources for pupils. This is done through fundraising during the school year. Our of the main expenditures for CRASP is funding the mini-buses, which is a vital part of the school life. In addition to this, departments can put in a request for financial support. We need to raise a minimum of £6,500 every academic year:

  • Mini-bus lease £5,000.
  • Pupil fund – 10% of what is raised the previous year. This is to help individual pupils.
  • Pantri Plasmawr – £100 a term. Helping support the school community through termly food parcels.
  • Support departments

The five main ways you can support CRASP and the school are;

School Lottery

The school lottery is drawn weekly. Once registered, you will be entered into the weekly draw. Currently the weekly prize is £30 for someone within the school community, with this rising as the number of tickets sold increases. Our aim is to have 150 tickets sold per week, which would raise us £3,000 over the year. This would be a huge step in helping us cover the cost of the minibuses and funding other initiatives. In addition to the weekly prize, players are entered in to a national draw. Below is a link to register and find further information regarding the lottery.

WhatsApp Community - 'Helpu CRASP'

This is a community to share information about upcoming events. You can also volunteer to help in the cafe during school concerts if you are attending anyway. Messages are always end-to-end encrypted and your number is only visible to the admin and those who already have your number.

We are currently a committee of 10, with a mix of staff and parents. We meet three times a year
